- Automatic Update option
- Use administrator account
Normal way of checking updates
You need to open Windows Update by going through ‘Start’ option and ‘All Programs’. From the left pane of the window, click on ‘Check for Updates’ option. You need to wait until Windows finds out any latest updates for your Samsung R620 notebook. If you get any update, click on it for the installation.
Automatic Update option
By going through the ‘Start’ option and ‘Control Panel’, you can get into ‘System and Security’ section of Windows 7. In that section, you need to turn ‘on’ Automatic Update under the Windows Update link. Automatic Update option installs only the important updates in Samsung R620 notebook provided by Microsoft.
When you check for updates and install them manually, you need to log onto Windows 7 using the administrator account. Otherwise, Windows prevents you from making any changes on it and thereby you will not able to install updates. When you try to install the updates using a user account, Windows will prompt you for administrator password and confirmation.
