Guidelines for restoring Windows® 7 on the Samsung® P530
System Restore is an option that can restore your system to its previous working condition. This has some limitations while used in Windows XP and Windows Vista. In these two early versions of Windows Operating systems you are needed to perform the restore each and every time. Also, it is not permitted to access the System Restore files. The System Restore in Windows 7 solves all these problems and also adds some extra features. In Windows 7, the restore utility merges with the backup utility. In order to perform System Restore, login to the system Administrator account and choose the ‘System Restore’ option from ‘All Programs’ from the ‘Start’ menu. Click on the ‘Restore’ button and choose the restore point to which you want your system to return. If the system starts to work properly, then the restoration is successful. Else, you need to cancel the System Restore by selecting ‘Undo’.

- Disable antivirus
You can also restore the Windows 7 Operating System on your Samsung P530 by using a recovery disk. You need to go to ‘System and Security’ option from ‘Control Panel’ and then choose the option ‘Create a system recovery disk’. Create a recovery disk by inserting a blank disk. Once you create the disk, you can use it for restoring Windows 7 on your Samsung P530. You need to restart the system and then allow the system to boot from the recovery disk.
Restore points on Samsung P530 can be created manually or automatically. In order to select the restore points manually, go to the System Tools from ‘Accessories’ from the Start menu. The system will run the wizard and restore your system to the selected restore point. Users must always take extra care in restoring Windows 7 to the correct restore point.
Always use an updated version of a good antivirus program to perform the complete scanning of all your partitions of your Samsung P530. Make sure to turn off the antivirus software after updating it. Sometimes the antivirus scanner might block the process of System Restore; therefore it is recommended to turn off the antivirus software before starting the Windows 7 restoration process.
