Samsung P530 has HDMI, 3-in-1 card slots, 3 USB 2.0 ports, and PC-to-PC real-time sharing. The network controller allows a network-capable device to access that network. It consists of a ROM chip that contains a unique number, the media access control (MAC) address. The MAC address identifies the device uniquely on the LAN. Sometimes due to many reasons this network controller doesn’t work.
Following are the reasons for network controller not working in Samsung P530 and the tips for resolving these issues:
- Improper driver installation
- Problem with network cards
- Unauthenticated websites and viruses
Improper driver installation
If a wrong driver had been installed, then your network controller won’t work. These drivers are installed in order to get Windows to recognize the motherboard's network controller and network card. To identify your motherboard/chipset, go to ‘Device Manager’ open the ‘System Devices,’ and see if there is anything written as NVIDIA, SiS, Via, Intel etc so that it might help you. If you do not find anything, then right click ‘My computer’ and select ‘Properties.’ The description of your system would be at the bottom. After getting that, go to corresponding websites for proper downloading.
Problem with network cards
Problem with your network card might also affect the network controller. So you have to check your network card properly before inserting it into your Samsung P530. Often the problem might be with PCI cards. PCI is a computer bus that is used to connect the hardware devices on the computer. If you determine any problem, replace it with another. Ensure that you are buying a proper card according to the motherboard specifications.
Sometimes after installing the network controller, under the ‘Device Manager,’ it is missing. You might see a yellow sign which indicates improper installation. You might face this situation because of the interruption of virus during installation time. So ensure your Samsung P530 is free from virus before going for the installation. Also, download the driver from an authorized website. Authentic websites only give you the correct performance of your drivers.
