Now, you have a viable alternative in the form of Samsung Series 9 ultra slim notebook, delivered to you at almost the same price range as the 13” MacBook Air. Launched in March, this year, the laptop has gained in popularity owing to its easier to use operating system and more economical after-sales service.
The Samsung Series 9 is ultra slim at 13.3” inch, weighing only 2.89 lbs with a thickness of just 1.73 cm. The machine looks good in a combination of plastic and metal. Interestingly, instead of aluminium, Samsung has used duralumin, which despite being light, is twice in strength of aluminum.
The Samsung Series 9 comes loaded with the low-voltage Sandy Bridge processor that runs at just 1.4 GHz. It has a powerful set of specs including the latest Core i5 2537M CPU from Intel, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, HDMI, Ethernet, USB, LED backlight monitor, and a 1.5W set of speakers plus sub-woofer. One negative point about this notebook is that there are only two USB ports available on the its sides.
In the U.S, it is priced at around $1600.
