Samsung® Releases Galaxy M With AMOLED screen
Samsung has released its first handset for the year 2012. It is called Samsung Galaxy M, which comes with a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen.
Here are its features:
The Samsung Galaxy M looks neat to the eye. Its slim waistline makes it look attractive. With a weight of 122g and a thickness of 9.9mm, this new device looks almost similar to Samsung Wave 3. It comes in three colors viz. platinum silver, blue black and lavender pink. Its 4-inch Super AMOLED screen gives the display a beautiful look.
This feature is not something that many would love. Samsung Galaxy M comes with a 3-megapixel camera whereas both Galaxy S and Omnia 7 were provided with a 5-megapixel camera.
This new camera is geared with a 1GHz single core CPU and the maximum capacity of its internal storage is 4GB. It is integrated with a 1650 mAh battery, DMB and Bluetooth 3.0.
Interestingly, this handset does not come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich . Instead, it is provided with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Price and Availability
According to Engadget, Samsung Galaxy M is priced at $500. It has been launched in Korea and there is no announcement of its release outside its homeland.
Samsung has plans of releasing some major handsets this year, which include the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S as well. Samsung Galaxy M is not something that would make us go crazy but it brings the highly acknowledged AMOLED screen technology to a mid range price. If we mull over the name given by Samsung to its handset, we realize that M stands for magical. Samsung promises that this new range of products will be middle to low end. Of course, Samsung Galaxy is one such product.
