Samsung® Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus to be launched before Christmas
Christmas is expected to arrive before time in Australia. And this time, Samsung seems to be the new Santa Claus without any white beard, red coat, and free gifts, but giving you a good chance to buy the perfect gift for this Christmas. Smarthouse.com reports that Samsung plans to launch an upgraded version of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab – the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus in Australia.
Let us see what Samsung has to offer with its new upgraded version of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab in Australia.
• The upgraded model will have the new Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system version, which replaces Android 2.2 (Froyo) smart phone OS of the old model. The tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual Core processor and is available in both 16GB and 32GB embedded memory with a 64GB microSD card slot. It has a slightly smaller 7-inch LCD with 1024 x 600 resolution.
• It also has a 2MP front facing camera and a 3MP 720p video camera.
• It offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/n at both 2.4GHz and 5GHz with support for channel bonding and apt-X Codec for Bluetooth. The combination of Wi-Fi 802.11a, Wi-Fi Direct, and Wi-Fi channel bonding helps to improve the Wi-Fi speed.
• If you are still looking for more connectivity, then you will find support for quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 3G with 21Mbps HSPA and Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS capabilities.
It sounds like a great tablet but the Australians will have to wait as Samsung first has to clear the dispute with Apple as both are locked over a legal battle over the launch of Galaxy 10.1 in the courts of U.S. and Australia. Samsung has proposed a solution to Apple over the dispute on screen technology and if Apple agrees to it then the new tablets may be out within a few days.
