The persistent efforts of Samsung to ensure a better environment through the production of power-conserving products have been highly appreciated. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named Samsung as the 2012 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year in the Product Manufacturing Category.
It is a big recognition for Samsung, as it was selected out of 20,000 participants for the prestigious ENERGY STAR title. “Samsung is honored to be selected as ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year because this prestigious award underscores our corporate commitment to sustainability,” said Yangkyu (Y.K.) Kim, president and CEO, Samsung Electronics North America.
EPA is proud to announce its prudent decision to select Samsung as the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year. Samsung has been doing tremendous work to bring better changes for the environment through ongoing employee, retailer, and distributor training programs, and consumer education and recycling campaigns. “As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ENERGY STAR program, EPA is proud to recognize Samsung with the 2012 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Product Manufacturer Award,” said Lisa P. Jackson, administrator, EPA.
