Screen issues in the Samsung Go N315
The Samsung Go N315 laptop is a new laptop introduced by Samsung for their users. It is equipped with the more energy efficient Pine Trail Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz processor and an Intel GMA 3150 graphics card. An N type Wi-Fi addition to the 802.11b/n/g and the pre-installed Times Reader 2.0 software is also new. It has a 10 inch display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. A 250GB hard drive and Windows 7 Starter Edition are added attractions. The laptop might face number of problems but there are simple and effective solutions to all of them. One among these problems is the screen issues. It might be due to faint images, jumbled images or sometimes the screen might go blank (or white) completely, without any display.
Common problems that can affect the screen of the Samsung Go N315 laptop and tips to resolve the issues are:
- Blank display
- Garbled images
- Dark or faint images
The link between the laptop screen and the motherboard is made up of a sequence of wires. It is placed near the hinges of the notebook. If any sort of squeezing or crushing takes place with those wires, then that will lead to problems with the display. If this happens, take the laptop to the nearest Samsung outlet to repair it.
Sometimes you might come across garbled images on your laptop screen. It might be because of the damaged integrated onboard video, or the cable connection or the laptop screen. You can check it by connecting the laptop to an external monitor. If the display appears to be normal, then the problem can be due to the video card. If this is so, then the user will have to replace the motherboard.
If there is a faint image on your laptop screen, then it might be possibly due to the laptop's LCD lid close switch is jammed in the sealed position. As a result, the backlight will go off to conserve power when the lid is closed and laptop is on. This switch is the one near the hinges. Try tapping it to get it to the ‘open’ position once more.
